Hot Cinnamon drink

Hot Cinnamon drink

Cinnamon has great many benefits; lowers LDL cholesterol, may have regulatory effect on blood sugar, has anti-clotting effect, it is a great source of manganese, fiber, iron, and calcium, in addition to many other benefits. This hot tasty drink, which can be served all times a year, will give you all these benefits and at the same time great taste. Back in my country it’s a traditional drink which is served when visiting a new mommy, or in post-delivery baby showers. I love to have it any time a year really 

Serves 2 to 3

Ingredients

  • 3-4 sticks cinnamon, curled type
  • 3 cups hot water
  • Sugar (according to preference)
  • Walnuts coarsely chopped for garnishing

Huda: It looks great. I love cinnamon. You could also toast the walnuts, and give it just a twist with the flavor. Definitely I will try it. Jackie: Honey they should be just fine. I would do hazelnuts, myself. Just make sure they are finely ground.

Hi Charkie.. of course u can if u want, but to get the whole benifit of the drink, we don't toast the walnuts, cz as u know, the healthy way is to have nuts un-toated.. Enjot it :-) and for the hazelnut, i'm sure it'll taste great, but will it float u think as walnut does?? maybe pecans can be a trial as well.. Thanks allot Charlie for your comments.. I\ll be waiting for your feed back ;-)
