Handmade Steamed Prawn Dumplings

Mel’s entrée recipe from week 3 of Come Dine With Me Australia.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 big handfuls of King Prawns Cleaned & Chopped into small pieces
  • 1 Ginger cut fine Size of a small thumb
  • 2 Shallots
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • Chinese cooking wine or vinegar (about 2 counts worth)
  • Soya Sauce (about 2 counts worth)
  • Oyster Sauce (about 1 count worth)
  • Sesame Oil (about 2 counts worth)
  • Ketchup Manis (about 2 counts worth)
  • 1 packet of Wanton Skins

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients except ketchup manis & wonton skins
  2. Marinate in fridge for at least 20 mins
  3. Once the prawns are marinated get the wonton skins and make little parcels with prawn fillings.
  4. Steam for about 3-5 minutes in a steamer
  5. Serve with sauce of choice.
