Zabaglione

This traditional Italian dessert is so easy to cook, and the taste is to die for!

Serves 2

Ingredients

Method

  1. Over a pot of simmering water place a bowl with the yolks, sugar & Marsala and start whisking. (Careful the water doesn’t boil too fast or the eggs will scramble, you can take the bowl off for 10 seconds if it gets too hot and then put it back turning down the heat in the process, also use a tea towel to hold the bowl when whisking-it can get a bit warm)
  2. Whisk until light & fluffy
  3. Pour into Martini glasses or a bowl
  4. Dust with cocoa powder, a bit of orange zest
  5. Serve with Italian sponge finger biscuits, coffee and a shot of Marsala or Italian sparkling Asti.
  6. Enjoy.
