Chocolate Fondue with Strawberries Flambe


Ingredients

  • 350g Chocolate
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 Punnet Strawberries
  • 3 Vanilla Beans
  • 50g Butter
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • Splash Whiskey

Method

  1. In a pan, add the butter and brown sugar and slowly caramelise. Make a hole in the strawberries with the end of a fork and skewer with the vanilla beans. Add the strawberry skewers to the pan and flambé with a splash of whiskey.
  2. Melt down the chocolate with oil olive, making sure to temper so it doesn’t get too hot.
  3. Set the strawberry skewers on a serving tray then drizzle the melted chocolate to finish.

    I like the recipe and i am about to try it, A home cook so i am wondering how hot does the pan need to be???? How much olive oil do i use to get the choc sauce perfect and how long do we heat strawberries once i Flambe them????? Also a bit more detail on use of Vanilla beans would be great.
