Put the meat aside then add whole onions, cooking until lightly golden brown. Add the bacon and sliced mushrooms. Once all cooked, set aside with the beef
Cook the crushed garlic in the pan, then add flour. Once brown, add the wine and stock then stir through sugar, salt and pepper. Stir sauce until boils and thickens
Put the meat and bacon into a casserole dish then add the wine and stock sauce. Cook for one hour on 180°C, then add the onions and mushrooms and cook for another 30 minutes
Boil and drain the potatoes then add the heated cream and butter to mash.
Boil the beans for 5 minutes
Serve the casserole with mashed potato and green beans on the side
