Mix the wet and dry ingredients together then let prove for 1 hour. Knock dough back then put into well oiled (olive oil) baking tray and let prove again.
Once is has proved enough, poke holes into the dough then sprinkle with sea salt and more chopped rosemary and a little olive oil.
Bake at 210°C for approx 18-20 minutes (makes one large loaf or two small ones)
Gail, your food looked delicious. Hope you have learnt to lighten up a bit. People want to have fun - dinner "party"! Even though Jen wasn't with her guests much (and the food wasn't so great) I think people preferred her party as it was more fun. The score you got wasn't about the food. By the same token it is hard to be relaxed with new people and a camera crew focusing on you. Love your apartment (yes and the colour scheme - people would have noticed).
I thought Gail went to great lengths to throw a very stylish dinner party and thought she would be equal first with Ben. Mexican scored her far too low as she did everyone else. Can not wait to try this fab recipe.
Gail really worked hard. I was sorry she scored so low. Am anxious to make her Rosemary Bread as it looked delicious BUT I too would like to know how to make or where to buy French Butter and more to the point......what is made from and what is its flavour?
Thouroughly enjoyed the whole bracket of the Five Come Dine With Me which included this recipe. Would love Julie's phone number to invite her to one of my "dinner-do's" She really keeps things rolling!
Keen Kook
I too loved Gail's menu and thought that they scored her too low for all her effort, especially after a certain Mexican woman's meal.
BTW what is or where can i buy French butter?
Loved Gail's whole menu and will try it all, Gail put in a lot of effort and time and her score did not reflect this wonderful menu. I have always wanted to do homemade bread and this looks great. Well done Gail.
I thought that the scoring for Gail was very harsh! I am looking forward to trying this bread recipe - it looks yummy.
