My Bircher Museli


A nice, fresh and healthy way to start the day.

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • A handful of shreaded coconut
  • 1 cup of milk
  • A handful of fruit eg, berries, grapes, etc (your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • A drizzle of treacle
  • A drizzle of honey
  • A handful of nuts (i use walnuts)
  • A handful of toasted apple & cinnamon oats (crunchola)
  • A couple of spoonfuls of your favourite yogurt (optional)

Method

  1. Place rolled oats in bowl and toss cinnamon through
  2. Drizzle a little bit of treacle over it
  3. Add fruit (cut up small if using big fruit)
  4. Add shreaded coconut and drizzle a bit of honey on top
  5. Cover with milk
  6. Place a plate or cling wrap over the bowl and leave for 12 to 24 hours
  7. Sprinkle over nuts and toasted apple & cinnamon oats
  8. Serve with yogurt if desired
