Pre-heat oven to 170°C.
Remove skin from ham, leaving fat layer intact. Score fat with a knife making a diamond pattern.
Mix together soy, water, honey and spices and rub into ham. Push cloves into ham fat evenly spaced over ham. Place ham in a large baking tray bake in oven for 90 minutes. Baste with pan juices every 15 minutes.
