HOT BACON & MUSHROOM DIP


Winter nibbles never tasted so good. If you've never had a hot dip before, this is definitely the one to start with. This dip is so mourish, everyone will be asking you for the recipe and it is so easy to make. It cooks in the microwave in one bowl. What could be simplier.

Serves 10 to 12

Ingredients

Method

  1. Using a microwave oven, put chopped bacon in a microwave proof dish and cook for 3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towel.
  2. Add butter, onion and garlic to bowl and cook for 2 mins.
  3. Add mushroom and stir. Cook for another 2 mins.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the top of the mixture, add cream cheese, sauces and sherry and cook for 5 mins stopping to stir halfway through.
  5. Stir in sour cream & bacon and cook for 1-2 mins.
  6. Pour dip into serving dish and serve with Corn Chips, Melba Toast or your favourite cracker.

Notes & Tips

Mixture without sour cream can be made ahead of time and refrigerated until needed. Stir in sour cream and re-heated on high for 3 mins before serving.
