i ran a restaurant kitchen that had a theme of taste plates and sharing plate this was the breakfast version and some guests actually managed to eat it on there own

Serves 2

Ingredients

Recipe 1:
2 slices turkish bread toasted
Recipe 2:
200g pork mince
1/2 x diced red onion
1 x tspoon chopped sage
1 x table spoon diced dates
1 x apple grated
1 x table spoon oil
20g butter
salt
pepper
Recipe 3:
1 x large potato peeled and grated
1 x table spoon diced onion
50g x fetta cheese (creamy type persian)
salt
pepper
Recipe 4:
1 organic egg
200ml x cream
20g x butter
1 t spoon x tarragon chopped
1 t spoon x diced red onion
1 x clove garlic diced
salt
pepper
Recipe 5:
200g x swiss brown button mushrooms
100ml x sherry vinegar
50g x brown sugar
Recipe 6:
4 slices smoked salmon
4 x organic eggs
200ml x cream
100g x butter
salt
pepper
Tablespoon x finely chopped chives
Recipe 7:
2 x skewers/sate sticks
6 x slice streaky bacon (rolled and precooked)
6 x swiss brown button mushrooms
6 x each cherry tomatoes
A liitle maple syrup

Method

recipe 2 : combine all ingredients and make little burgers seal both sides in hot pan with butter and oil finish cooking in oven at 160c
recipe 3 : combine potato, cheese and onion season well form in to individual potato cakes in a pan brown either side and finish cooking in the oven
recipe 4 : butter and season a small oven proof dish and carefully crack egg in to dish in another pan sweat onion and garlic add cream and reduce by half add tarragon and season pour over egg and bake at 160c for 10 - 12 minutes
recipe 5 : heat a pan and add oil then butter, brush mushrooms and add to pan saute untill oil has been absorbed season and add sherry vinegar and sugar cook untill syrup is formed and coat mushrooms keeep warm
recipe 7 : alternatley place on the skewers bacon, tomato, and mushroom 2 of each on each skewer brush with little oil and then brush with maple syrup
bake in oven at 160c for about 10 mins
recipe 6 : whisk eggs well melt half the butter and add the eggs season and cook till 3/4's of the way and add cream mix and remaining butter and chives serve with smoked salmon
plate as per photo and enjoy

Notes & Tips

preparation is the key pattie and skewers can be made in advance carefull not to over cook the scramble eggs so do them last and get some one else to wash up

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. I could easily polish this one off on my own and woe be to anyone else trying to get a look in. The ingredients list looks a bit hefty but well worth it none the less. Will be giving this tasting plate a go - but probably in stages as it looks a little bit daunting to tackle single handed. Thankyou for posting such an inspiring reason to get out of bed : )
