Creamy Mashed Potatoes


Creamy Mashed Potatoes

These mashed potatoes are what I use to dollop on my Braised Beef Casserole. So creamy and delicious you just can't get enough.

Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients

  • 8 baby potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup milk

Method

  1. Boil the baby potatoes in boiling salted water until tender.
  2. Put the potatoes through a ricer or mash with fork until almost smooth.
  3. Add the salt, pepper and nutmeg and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add butter a little at a time making sure it melts into the warm potatoes.
  5. Add the milk a little at a time until you get a smooth consistency.
  6. Return to a low heat for another 1-2 minutes and stir until all ingredients are well combined and the potatoes are smooth and creamy.

Notes & Tips

Please note, you may not need a full cup of milk. Add the milk a little at a time until you get to a smooth creamy consistency.
