Sesame Pumpkin Seed Snaps

Makes 1 9-inch pan
Cuts into 25 squares


  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup unsalted pumpkin seeds

  • ¾ cup sesame seeds, lightly toasted

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour

  • ½ cup honey (regular or buckwheat)

  • 1 Tbsp finely grated orange zest

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

    Preheat oven to 375 F. Grease and line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.

  • 2.

    Blend together sugar, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and flour. In a separate bowl, whisk honey, zest, orange juice and oil to combine and stir into flour mixture until evenly blended. Scrape batter into prepared pan and spread evenly (wet fingers with water to press in). Bake for about 20 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling at edges. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
