Who are 4ingredients kidding?

Their show last night was about how to save money on your grocery bill. The ladies were so excited ... complete with ever-so-fake "wooo-hoooo"s about getting their grocery bill DOWN TO $200 A WEEK!!! Holy! If I spent that much, I'd have a pantry and fridge overflowing with food that's going to go rotten because there's too much of it!

And love the close-ups of the big square rock on Kim's wedding finger as she goes to cut up the food.

I love the fact that Rachel and Kim have done so well, and I'm genuinely proud of them. But it's important to remain in touch with your viewers, ladies. Not everyone can afford designer kitchenware if they're trying to be thrifty on the food. And come on, who'd be trying to get their grocery bill DOWN TO $200?

What were their weekly 4 ingredients? Lobster, Truffles, French Champers and Fois Gras? Were they feeding a family of 6? That is one show I never watch but I guess it has it's purpose.

It WOULD have a purpose if it was on the Comedy Channel. The problem is it isn't funny, it's pathetic. I was watching them on Market Kitchen a couple of months ago and from the look on everyones faces, I'm sure they thought that the whole 4 Ingredients thing was a satire on "Real" cooking shows.

Yes I saw that show. I must say I find it strangely compelling to watch - mainly to see what horrific recipes they come up with - they never let me down.

Yes, like a train smash is compelling. You know it's going to be a disaster. I've not yet had a reply to my letter of complaint about this farce of a show.

Jeff, I too submitted similar feedback to remove it from the Food channel - I suggested Lifestyle channel, but Comedy too as you said would be entirely appropriate.

I used to work in a large supermarket, actually there are a lot of family's living of $200 per week in Groceries. However, a large number of family's with 3-4 kids probably spend $250/300 per week. But that isn't all grocery. Believe me, we are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, we spend $150 per week.

I budget for an absolute maximum of $10 per person per day and usually spend only about half of that. That includes MSA Quality meat, occasional Wagyu and other "luxuries" available through my fabulous Wholesale Butcher.
The 4 Ingredients Zombies shop about as well as they cook. i.e. appallingly and then there's those voices, they could strip paint!

I agree. Anyone who needs to spend $200 to create a "cheap eat" is totally out of touch ad overindulged. Get real. Adjust your show to the levels of income in the community and save your $200 to pay our top chefs when you dine out. Pensioners don't even get much more than that to live on and when you take out rent , medications, petrol insurance etc. A menu should be based around $10 to $15 and can be healthy too.

The Channel is now insulting our intelligence even more by including this vile show in ads for the Australia Day line-up.
It's simple, we watch FOOD because we love food and cooking.
These creatures hate cooking and are the opposite of everything that we want to see on a channel for foodies. I couldn't put it any more strongly. We don't want them on this channel, put them on the DIY channel or the Comedy channel or the Home Shopping channel. Anywhere but a channel for foodies.
