I don't know if he can cook. I have bookmarked a couple of his recipes off of this site.
I haven't tried them yet, so don't know if they are good or not.
As for him?????
I don't think he should be allowed on public TV.
He is boorish, a bully, and is a foul mouthed pig.
If I was working for him, I would be charging him with harassment.
I have known a lot of Scotsmen that do not talk like that, and would never think about swearing or using vulgarity.

omg has nobody told you people yet that wait for it the toothfairy santa claus and television are not real!!!!! now sit down and digest this quietly sorry to break your rose coloured glasses but hey someone had to do it! As for hugh beating gordon in a baking contest why wouldnt he? Hugh is also a trained chef and I do believe had quite a prestigious job at river cafe (Italian orientated restaurant lots of cakes) allthough I think I remember him stating he was asked to leave as he was to untidy but hey least we know he must cook well.
Gordon Ramsay tv persona is rough crude and down to earth as well as down-right funny I very much doubt that this would be his real life character as the man behind the legend has friends and family. pssst if you dont like his show turn it off i am sure your patonage will not be missed.
btw I have cooked some off gordons reciepes and they were brilliant!
I myself was iffy about him till he took ofence and didnt mind telling the world he took ofence to something nasty stated in a newspaper about the reason he "had" to get married any bloke that will stand up for his wifes name honour ect wins tops in my books

dude he is a ledgend he is the most funniest fella ive ever seen on tv better than any comedian....... leave him alone.... id like to see you cook better than he can and fyi all chefs swear like troopers not just him its part of the business look at jamie oliver he swears more than what you know .....

Yes he can cook, he also wins awards for keeping staff way longer than most people at the michellan level. All i can say is when you are on tv you are acting. Maybe the real man is very different. Certainly the host of the F word is different to the host of Hells Kitchen

He is fantastic Tv and his restaurants serve amazing food. We dined at Maze recently and it was amazing.
