Why is everyone scared of Gordon Ramsey over for dinner, he wont bite, what's so wrong with him?
Personally, I think he's a legend!

Apart from the fact that he's a vile, foul mouthed, egomaniacal pig? Nothing wrong with him at all. There is no need for people like him.

I'm not convinced he's that great of a cook. However, he is good at surrounding himself with cooks of a superior calibre who carry him along. LOL, I even saw a competition where Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstalll (sp) beat him hands down in baking a cake.

I dont like his vulgar approach, but hes making money out of his image. He scares me, but he is popular with many. I just cant let my children watch his program. A shame , but hes catering to particular audiences. I would give him a miss.

hey, ive a question about his wife. Is she an actual chef or just a cook, using the limelight of her husband to make a buck. Can she actually cook????

I am not scared of Gordon. I think my mouth is worse than his is if I'm honest. But I think he is a waste of space and a hypocrite who lies and thinks offending people is funny. I don't even think he is that good of a chef. I was so disgusted by his behaviour when he was in Australia that I sent back my tickets to the Food and Wine show because I didn't want to be part of it when that no talent hack (with a great overworked publicist) was the host.

I've watched Gordon's tv carreer over the last few years and I have to say that I really like the guy. Considering he has a really lovely and gentle spirited wife and a brood of great kids, there has to be a fairly decent guy in there some where to love. I think his cooking is fantastic. I also think he is one of those people who have high standards in their professional life and expect the same from all those he works with but doesn't have a high level of tollerance. And by the way, I've heard Rick Stein and Gary Rhodes mouth off on par with Gordon off camera - working as a chef is extremely stressfull - what do you expect. Gordon's behaviour at the Food and Wine show in Sydney was fantastic along with his food. Gary Mehigan and George Colombaris however, swore like troopers throughout their show - yet I heard no media backlash about that...!

I'm a bit neutral - or should I say "sitting on the fence". I do recognise that he had a pretty tough upbringing in Scotland, and we pretty much know that Scots swear like troopers (eg Billy Connolly). I do like that he calls a spade a spade (Kitchen Nightmares), but rudeness, boorishness and attempting to get a laugh out of belittling people are not traits to be admired of anyone.

I am not neutral, or "sitting on the fence" .- I think he should have been kicked out of the country after that fiasco...!! He's a dirty, rotten scoundrel, I don't and wouldn't watch his show/s, definately wouldn't see him live. I feel worried about his wife, and hope he doesn't swear so much at her--it is abhorrent!

the way you see him on tv is his business, if you dont like it dont watch it, he is a real perfectionist and im sure his food is great, as for being a smartass is aus, i think it was just his ego gone way too far too his head. Personal life is his business, just because its publicised, im sure everyone knows people that are much worse than he is, but dont know it, give the guy a break, what you see is whats on tv, because he is so famous everything is scrutinised. just now i saw an add for 4 ingrediants and i can tell u now i would rather watch ramsay then those two any day.

He can cook, thats his business, his personailty is what helped him up the ladder, if he was a boring nerd and cooked the same you wouldnt know who he was.
