No Carb Diet
January 2012
My husband has just started this 30 day diet. There are no carbs, no sugar and no dairy in this diet. I lasted 2 days as I love coffee with milk. I wonder how healthy this type of diet is. 30 days isn't a long time but breakfast preparation is too much. If anyone else has been on this type of diet could you tell me what happened after the 30 days and what did you eat for breakfast.

I do know one thing from losing weight... that is that you need carbs to burn fat, no fat will be burnt on just protein alone. Once I resumed carbs 15kg came off .. good luck!

Yeah I tried just protein for a few weeks and actually found it difficult to go to the gym everyday. I now eat limited carbs, because i believe in the theory, but not after 3pm in the afternoon. I try to eat most of my carbs for breakfast as I can burn it off during the day with my work and exercise.

I tried going for a low carb diet and I experienced minor headaches, tiredness, and my energy levels were pretty low. I don't have any experience with the NO carb, but I'd guess it would be similar but more intense.

Not quite true, Fredia. Olive oil has zero carbs. Actually, a lot of plant food has very little carbohydrate, and some animal foods (e.g. oysters, and even eggs) have a little. The trick is to put it all together in a way that works for you. The Forum really is a good place to talk about it.

The best way is to experience the 30 day diet at first and observe the result.
