Willie Harcourt-Cooze (born in London, April 29, 1964) is an internationally recognized chocolate producer, entrepreneur, author and television star.
Based in Britain, Willie came to fame in 2008 with the airing of his documentary, Willie’s Wonky Chocolate Factory, which followed Willie growing, importing and producing his own chocolate. Willie’s instant popularity came not only from his gregarious and eccentricity, but the fact that he was and is one of the only chocolate farmers managing his production all the way from the tree to the finished product. Willie’s main focus is single-origin dark chocolate for cooking and eating, favouring, of course, his own Venezuelan-grown beans. Willie uses modern technology to temper his chocolate, but most of his other equipment is modified or antique, which he maintains himself.
In addition to his television show, Willie has produced several books including Willie’s Chocolate Factory Cook Book and Willie’s Chocolate Bible.
