Nigel started as an apprentice at Jarmers Restaurant, Kensington, South Australia in 1984.
In Jan1989 he travelled the US then arrived in England June 1989, based in London working in 1 of ten privately owned boutique hotels with the Mountbatten Hotel Covent Garden, part of the Edwardian Hotel group now owned by Radisson Hotels.
Nigel worked from the kitchen to food and beverage manager by the age of 22. He then returned to Adelaide and worked in acclaimed establishments as The Universal Wine Bar, The Oxford, Jolleys Boat House Restaurant & Charlicks Feed Store.
He spent 2 years as Executive Chef overseeing two of Hong Kong’s finest restaurants and is now back in South Australia calling McLaren Vale home..23 years on and he still loves it.... Read more.
