One of our most recognised food celebrities, George is also a chef and restaurateur with two Melbourne restaurants (a third on the way) and another on the Greek island, Mykonos.

His modern take on Greek cooking is an exciting blend of experimental and traditional but is always firmly rooted in the lessons he learnt in the kitchen of his Greek Cypriot mother, Mary.

Dear George,

I am a big fan of Masterchef Australia. What I love most about the show is the dignity and integrity of the judges and the participants (For example Adam quitting for the sake of Danielle, very nice move). I am always suffering when I glimpse the cruel competition in shows like TopChef or Hell's Kitchen.
Although I am living in India and cannot recreate most of the dishes presented in Masterchef, I enjoy watching and learning.
I have lived two years in Greece and love Mediterranean food. Now I am married to an Italian (I am German by the way) and have put my experience of more than a decade cooking Mediterranean food in India into a cookbook called "Kornelia's Kitchen". I also have a website with the same name,
