Angela Harris is a pastry chef at La Tropezienne patisserie located on Glenferrie Rd. in Hawthorn, Melbourne. Since she was a young girl, Angela Harris has always loved eating. Since working at La Tropezienne, Angela has been able to follow her passion for food, in a supportive environment that has not only inspired her work as a pastry chef, but has also contributed to exciting her judgment, palate and appreciation of the finer details, especially when it comes to the macaron. Over the past five years, under Chef Gulliume’s guidance, Angela’s confidence in perfecting the techniques for the macaron has soared, and Angela delights in making delectable treats for everyone to enjoy.
Angela believes that macarons are a flavour bomb and a little ‘taste of delight,’ and that they lend themselves to adventurous experimentations and creativity. Angela identifies salted caramel as her favourite macaron flavour, and when asked the question: If she were a macaron what would she be? Angela instantly replied that she would be a mixture of brioche and fois gras- highlighting her dedication to creativity in flavour, texture, and all things French!
