born at the confluence of Spanish, Southeast Asian, North American (okay, so the food's not fabulous), Alsace Lorraine and German cooking and cultures, I love eating almost as much as I love cooking, and cannot talk about it as separate from all the other joys of life and living.

The anthropology, biology and, especially, the poetry of food, is as important to me as the what I actually eat, and you will find these annotations thoroughly mixed into my versions of the recipe. Recently diagnosed with genetic Pre-Diabetes, I am learning to channel my passion and research into exploring low fat, low GI recipes and a way of life previously unknown to me.
