Mother of 6 which I reckon puts me in charge of catering.
Working full time also prevents me from exploring some of the more exotic culinary endeavours, so simple, available, quick and supermarket ready stuff I generally have to use whilst keeping as much as possible healthy and unrefined. Don't get me wrong though, I love cooking and eating.
I try to keep it fairly tasty, inviting, but simple, I attempt to be out of the kitchen within around 20 mins when it comes to preparing dinner else I'm looking for something to put in the oven and forget for a little while.
.... And kids, no matter what age they are, if it doesn't look inviting and tasty on first look, they'll soon reject it. I have to admit that when the kids stay at other's places it is nice see them coming home craving for a 'home cooked meal' and that's when they seem to no longer take my efforts for granted.
