Anna Gare shares her top tips for entertaining over Christmas and the new year and tells us about her latest projects.
What will you be cooking for Christmas day?
Christmas is a big deal in my houses; it’s a great time of year for us all to sit down as a big family and tuck into delicious food. I’m a big traditionalist when it comes to this time of year and I love to do the full works – turkey, stuffing and of course a Christmas Pud.
Do you have any top tips for LifeStyle FOOD fans for summer entertaining at home?
Don’t panic - entertaining in the home is supposed to be a pleasure not a chore! Having guests around can seem daunting for some beginner hosts, but if you prepare as much as you can before your guests arrive and keep a check list of when items should go into the oven, you can kick back relax and even enjoy a glass of wine!
Tell us more about this Tip Top breadbox design project?
I am working with Tip Top at the moment, which is very exciting – we always used to sing the jingle to my mum when we were little. I have come on board to designed the world’s first singing bread bin, which play the iconic Tip Top® ‘Good on ya Mum’ jingle when opened. My design is a gorgeous retro, 50’s style breadbin – with bright red cherries adorning the bin, it’s really cute!
You can buy the breadbins from www.facebook.com/tiptop and all the money goes to charity so it’s a really great cause.
What other projects are you working on at the moment?
At the moment I am working on the launch of my new cook book which is set to be jam pack with my delicious signature style of home cooking.
