Top 7 Most Romantic Valentine's Day Cocktails

Mixologist and self-described “manthropologist” Babe Scott is on a mission to put the curve back into cocktail making. This cocktail queen has put together her liquid recipes for love, so you can pour your way into his heart for Valentine’s Day. 

Here are her top 7 most romantic cocktails!

1. Blonde Bombshell

25ml Goldschlager
Brut Champagne or sparkling wine
Maraschino cherry, for garnish
Edible gold flakes, for garnish (optional)

Pour the Goldschlager into a champagne flute and top with Champagne or sparkling wine. Garnish with a maraschino cherry. For added decoration, rim the glass with edible gold flakes before pouring.

2. French Kiss

50ml vodka
15ml Chambord
35ml pineapple juice
Ice cubes
Raspberry and pineapple slice, for garnish

Pour the vodka, Chambord and pineapple juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a raspberry or a pineapple slice and a little umbrella.

3. Chocolate Lust Martini

75 ml vodka
15 ml (1 tbsp) crème de cacao
Ice cubes
Strawberry, for garnish
Chocolate sprinkles, for garnish (optional)

Pour the vodka and crème de cacao into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a strawberry. For added decoration, rim the glass with chocolate sprinkles before pouring.

4. Lychee and Rose Petal Martini

50ml vodka
15ml rose petal liqueur
25ml lychee syrup, from tin
Ice cubes
Rose petal or lychee, for garnish

Pour the vodka, liqueur and lychee syrup into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a rose petal or a lychee.

5. Lovebird


25ml vodka
15ml peach schnapps
15ml blue curacao
50ml pineapple juice
Ice cubes
Colored sprinkles, for garnish (optional)

Pour the vodka, schnapps, blue curacao and juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. For added decoration, rim the glass with colored sprinkles before pouring.

6. Liz Taylor

 

50ml dry gin
15ml fresh lemon juice
15ml crème de violette
Splash of Sauvignon Blanc wine
Ice cubes

Pour the gin, lemon juice and violette into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Add a splash of wine and shake well. Strain into a Champagne saucer or a cocktail glass. You can substitute vodka for gin if you prefer.

7. Passionfruit Margarita

50ml tequila
15ml St. Germain elderflower liqueur
75ml passionfruit juice
15ml fresh lime juice

Pour the tequila, liqueur and juices into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wedge. For added decoration, rim the glass with sugar before pouring.
