Adelaide Food & Wine Festival

From city laneways and beaches to Coonawarra shearing sheds and the Adelaide Central Market - the inaugural Adelaide Food & Wine Festival will offer eight days of mouth-watering events across the state, featuring the abundant produce that South Australia has to offer.

Kicking off the Festival will be MARKET FEAST (Saturday 6 April, 8pm) a convivial feast after hours in the iconic Adelaide Central Market. The menu developed by the Hilton Adelaide's Dennis Leslie, will showcase the very best of South Australian food and wine.

On Sunday 7 April, over 20 rock star winemakers will converge in Adelaide's East End for #EASTENDWINEDOWN, an urban laneway taste fest with dj beats and food truck eats. While #MySATable is for anyone, anywhere to take part. Plan your dinner around SA produce and proudly tell the world via facebook, twitter and instagram using the hashtag.

Go Vegan, Veg and Vintage (Wednesday 10th April) in the heritage-listed Adelaide Arcade with the 50's style diner folk at Two Bit Villains. Or praise Shin & Shiraz (Thursday 11 April) with Meat Maestro Richard Gunner joining forces with SA's leading shiraz makers at the National Wine Centre.

On Friday 12 April, we're proud to hook up with Adelaide's street sensation Fork on the Road in Light Square. And we'll bring sustainable seafood to your table with Wines and Fishes on Saturday 13 April when Semaphore Beach foreshore will see winemakers and Chef Salvatore Pepe (Cibo Cucina) prepare a lunch that is a celebration of our oceans.

The festival will be capped off on Sunday 14 April with the Sumptuous Regional Celebration taking place across South Australia's bountiful regions. Pack the car and make a trip of it. Head to the Hills for Hills Harvest Beats, revel in the Riverland for Walk on the Wildside, mooch in McLaren Vale at the Porchetta Party, enjoy the beauty of the Barossa at Seppeltsfield Centenary Tasting or join the country ladies at Sips in the Sticks in Coonawarra.

And that's just a taste. There'll be a Bacon Trail with Saskia Beer, a Pie Float Off competition, plus hands on classes, Say Cheese mozzarella stretching, an around-the-world chocolate experience and a dinner that celebrates one of SA's foremost food and wine lovers - Don Dunstan atFino Willunga.

Apothecary 1878 on Hindley St will be our Official Supper Club and to balance, Magazine Gallery will be the Tea-Hub, allowing a tea-induced moment of Zen to prepare you for another indulgent night of great food and wine.

So get amongst the Adelaide Food & Wine Festival from 6-14 April 2013- a celebration of the unique people, producers, places and spaces of South Australia. Full program available Friday 22 March.
