Snag Stand is bringing gourmet snags in a ‘casual dining’ experience to Sydney for the very first time. Based at Westfield Sydney, with a store to open in Melbourne in September, Snag Stand is rejuvenating the traditional snag, leading a hot dog (or ‘haute dog’!) revolution by offering high quality sausages and an enormous variety of mouth-watering toppings. On the menu you’ll find a range of delicious choices including Wagyu Beef, Toulouse and Weisswurst.
Following the influx of ‘gourmet’ burger and pie joints in Sydney, Snag Stand is giving the Aussie staple, the humble snag, an unprecedented and long overdue makeover. Co-founder of Snag Stand, Phillip Blanco, has joined forces with Sydney’s most respected and award-winning artisan butchers including Rodriguez Bros and Brot & Wurst to deliver quality, locally sourced produce in every single bite. Gluten free, with no artificial flavours or colours, each Snag Stand snag brings you the ultimate snag experience, with no hidden nasties.
Snag Stand co-founder and devoted snag fan, Phillip Blanco, took inspiration from the humble hot dog to create this stylish new snag experience. “We wanted to take this firm Aussie favourite and give it a new culinary lease of life!” said Phillip. “There‟s nothing more Aussie then snags on the barbie – but we‟ve stepped it up a notch and created an entirely new snag experience. Our snags are full of innovative flavour combinations, the best ingredients and no artificial flavours or ingredients and many of which are preservative free.
“As committed foodies, we understand that people want high quality, delicious meats – something the industry hasn‟t always got right with snags in the past. We‟re changing all that and challenge Sydneysiders to try for themselves and experience the humble snag in a haute new way”.
With fifteen snags, nine internationally-sourced toppings and six dipping sauces to choose from, there is a „haute‟ dog for everyone.Check it out at www.snagstand.com.au or head to Westfield Sydney, Level 5 Shop 5012a, 188 Pitt Street NSW 2000.
