Ramsay, first British chef to be awarded two Michelin stars in France

In the centenary edition of the eponymous Michelin guide, LifeStyle FOOD chef Gordon Ramsay has been awarded two Michelin stars for his restaurant Gordon Ramsay au Trianon in Versailles (taking his international tally to 10 Michelin stars).

Ramsay is the first British chef to receive two stars in France since the guide was first published 109 years ago.

Another notable mention for the 2009 edition is Le Bristol, a favourite of President Sarkozy, the only restaurant to jump from two to three stars. There are 26 French establishments that hold the coveted third star.
