How to Throw a Kids' Party

Gooseberry Catering gives us some easy tips to help you throw an easy and fun kids party.

Let them join in the fun

Food activities are a great way to keep the kids entertained. Decorate cupcakes with lollies and colourful icing, make fruit spears and create homemade pizzas with yummy toppings.

Think about dietary requirements

Be prepared with snacks for children who might be lactose or gluten intolerant.

Make it healthy and natural

Who said healthy was boring. Set up a fruit juice or smoothie bar where children can choose their topping and blend it into a frappe, just like being at a restaurant.

Put together goodie bags

Instead of filling up your goodie bags with sweets, why not let the children create something they can take home. Set up an arts and crafts table with plaster painting, jewellery making etc.

Have a theme

Themes help with the planning process so pick one and match your food, decorations, activities and birthday cake to it.
